Vanilla Custard Filling

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup scalded milk
2 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Mix cornstarch and sugar, add hot milk and pour gradually on the beaten egg yolks. Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly until thicken. Cool. Add vanilla.
