Classic Spritz Cookies
Yield
7-8 dozen cookies
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups butter or margarine, room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk, vanilla, and almond extract to cream mixture. Beat well. Combine together flour and baking powder. Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mixing to make a smooth dough. Do not chill. Place dough into cookie press and press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes on cooling grid. Remove from cookie sheet and continue to cool on grid.
