Creamy Double Decker Fudge

Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk), divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided
1 cup dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Line an 8" x 8" square baking pan with aluminum foil, extending foil at least 2" over edges of pan. Set aside.
Place peanut butter chips and 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium (50%) 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Spread evenly in prepared pan.
Place remaining sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in another small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium (50%) 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in remaining 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Spread evenly over peanut butter layer.
Cover and refrigerate until firm. Using the extended edges, lift fudge from pan. Place on cutting board. Peel off foil. Cut into 1" squares.
Additional Information
For best results, do not double this recipe.
