Cherry Brownies

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
5 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
2 cups sour cherries
2 tablespoons cocoa, rounded

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease baking pan using Pan Release.

In a medium mixing bowl, add flour, granulated sugar and baking powder. Mix well. Add eggs one at a time mixing well in between additions. Add vanilla, butter and brown sugar. Mix well. Stir in walnuts and sour cherries. Pour in greased baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. Cool before cutting.
