Transportation
Many historic modes of transportation are featured in Greenfield Village. There are several trains that are pulled
by a steam locomotive such as The Edison and Torch Lake, a Carousel, a paddle
wheel steamboat called Suwanee, an antique Model AA Bus, a
antique Model AA Steak Truck, a Model AA Dump Truck, a
Model T, wood paneled trucks called the Woody, horse drawn
Omnibus, and horse-drawn vehicles, including carriages,
wagons and taxis. The Village also has the DT&M Roundhouse,
a Railroad Turntable, and an in-use Smiths Creek Depot.
In addition, there are engineers, firemen, drivers, and mechanics who operate this historic machinery and keep it
in good running order who are happy to answer questions or offer information.
