Swiss Chalet

Swiss Chalet This Swiss Chalet structure was built in 1935 in Greenfield Village as a Swiss watchmaker's workshop where fine watches and clocks were made and repaired. The structure is suggestive of Swiss architecture found in the mountains of Switzerland. Swiss Chalet

Pierre Cartier, a jeweler and fine watchmaker, was contacted by Henry Ford to help with the building plans. Cartier supplied Henry Ford with many ideas on how to build and furnish the chalet. Unfortunately the building is no longer accessible to the public.
