Homes
A number of historic homes can be found along the tree-lined streets of Greenfield Village. Some, like the Noah
Webster House, are imposing structures associated with a famous person. However, the majority are modest dwellings
that were occupied by average, lesser-known individuals. The homes located throughout the Village represent a variety
of architectural styles, time periods and social classes. These homes include: Susquehanna Plantation,
Noah Webster House. Robert Frost House, Edison Homestead,
Herb Garden, Stephen Foster Home, Swiss Chalet,
Hermitage Slave Quarters, Mattox House, Steinmetz Cabin,
Adams House, McGuffey School, McGuffey Birthplace,
Chapman House, and the George Washington Carver Memorial
